We have an immediate part-time position for Facilities Assistant

We have an immediate full-time position for a Generator Technician. Training provided.

Facilities Assistant

Part-time, 5 days/wk (Mon – Fri). 20+ hours (less than 30 hrs per week). Start at $20 – $23/hr. Schedule set by GM working with Facilities Asst and mgmt. team, normally a few hours per day completed between 7:15 – 4:30pm. Need for last-minute flexibility (longer days) when company expecting deliveries (inbound or outbound) or when foul weather requires action (e.g., clearing/treating snow/ice in parking areas).

TYPICAL TASKS:

Assist Operations:

Daily unpackage equipment and test run generator for upcoming install(s);
Daily restock install trailer(s) parts bins (rotating bins) and preparing a crate of other consumables used;
Periodic audit of install trailer contents (on days when not used);
Drive vehicles to service garage for repairs/inspections;
Periodic delivery of equipment to job sites (including for builders);
Periodic operating/backing of a truck/trailer combination, then using a tractor/loader to position gensets;
Order/Stock/Maintain adequate inventory of mtls stored in various locations;
Assist in developing inventory control system, will also work with Microsoft’s ToDo;
Minor repairs of tools/equipment.

Assist w Building/Property Maintenance:

Weekly vacuuming/cleaning of office before phones start ringing at 8 AM;
Weekly Cleaning of bathrooms and taking out all trash to dumpster, including offices and kitchen;
Launder drop cloths and company owned rags as needed;
Minor building repairs/painting;
Cutting grass, weeding, snow/ice removal.

Other tasks as required by manager.

Requirements: Minimum 21 yrs old, Clean record for criminal/driving history, pass drug test, DOT physical with min 1 yr cert. Type at least 40wpm and use computer (for reports/inventory mgmt). Able to safely back a trailer. Able to operate material handling equip, e.g., forklift, tractor, mini loader. Generator Service Technician

Full-Time. Starting in the range of $20 – $23, with minimal experience.

Candidates must have a strong desire to work. We require technician to read and understand operating and troubleshooting manuals. The generator technician position provides on-the-job training. Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is required, able to bend down and kneel for servicing generators, able to back a trailer, sociable (will be meeting multiple clients each day), conscientious, and well-groomed. Full Time Position, 40 hours per week. Normally 4 days M – F (may have off T, W, or Th, depending on company needs). Normally off on Weekends (except when on-call). Normal start-time 7:15 AM till job completed (10 – 12 hour days not unusual).

Prefer 5 years of related experience. Minimum age: 21. Level 2 is achievable in first year. Higher compensation for Level 3 – 4 technicians which requires more experience and objectively proven abilities with potential to earn over $30 per hour.

Technicians are involved in all facets of the installation, maintenance, and repair of onsite power systems (e.g., standby generators).
